Woman, Always · A written course

What Happened
to Us?

A psychiatrist's self-paced course on midlife, intimacy, and the stories couples tell themselves when something changes.

A way to look at what changed, name what you want, and consider a next step. Six written lessons, a private workbook, and nobody to perform for.

The method

Four questions to look more closely.

01

What did each of us notice?

Start with what happened.

02

What did we decide it meant?

Put the interpretations beside the event.

03

What did we do next?

Look at the pattern that followed.

04

What might the body have contributed?

Consider sleep, illness, medication and hormonal change — and what would remain if those were addressed.

Inside the course

Six lessons.
Room to think.

Read at your own pace and work privately through the exercises. The course includes a welcome, a safety gate and a sources page, alongside the six core lessons.

  1. 01

    The diagnosis nobody ran

Look at the moment that keeps repeating, and the stories each of you has attached to it.

  2. 02

    Body before blame

Consider midlife health, sleep and medication alongside what is happening in the relationship.

  3. 03

Desire is a symptom, not a character flaw

Explore what desire is downstream of, and the distinction between closeness and desire.

  4. 04

    The irritability problem

Look at thresholds, what irritability may be reporting, and the place of repair.

  5. 05

    The two conversations

Prepare questions for your doctor and, where safe and wanted, a conversation with your partner. Read the safety gate first.

  6. 06

    Choosing, not settling

Consider staying, leaving or rebuilding, without being steered towards a particular outcome.

The printable workbook

Twelve pages.
Your own account.

A four-column timeline, a two-week log, reflection exercises and a one-page appointment sheet for your doctor. Space to describe the recurring moment and put what you want into your own words.

You choose what to write and what to share. There is nothing to upload or submit.

Who it is for

Something changed.
You want to understand it.

Women in midlife who suspect something changed and cannot name what. Couples returning to the same argument or silence. Partners who would rather understand than guess.

You can work through the course alone. Every exercise has an individual route. Nothing requires touch, sex, or disclosure to a partner.

Before the conversations

Safety comes first.

If disagreement leads to threats, monitoring, sexual pressure, intimidation or retaliation, the partner conversation exercises may be unsafe. Skip those exercises and seek specialist support. Use private pages only if it is safe to keep them.

The doctor's appointment sheet does not require partner involvement. The safety gate explains which parts to skip.

Questions before buying

A few things to know.

Is this therapy?

This is education, rather than psychiatric or psychological treatment. It does not establish a doctor–patient relationship or replace a GP, specialist or therapist. Medication decisions belong with your prescriber.

Do I need my partner to do it?

Every exercise has an individual route. If a partner joins you, what you share remains your choice. Read the safety gate before considering any partner conversation.

Are there videos, calls or a community?

The course is written and self-paced, with a printable workbook. There are no recorded audio or video lessons, live calls, community or comments in this edition.

Does this promise to change my relationship?

The course offers a method and exercises for looking at what changed. It cannot promise a medical explanation, a particular response from your doctor or partner, or an outcome for your relationship.

How long will I have access, and what are the refund terms?

The access period, release schedule and refund terms will be published with checkout details before enrolment opens.
